Announcing the Ballot for 2009-2010 KY-TN WEA Officers |

The ballot has been set for the KY-TN WEA Chapter officers for 2009-2010! Pursuant to the constitution and by-laws of the KY-TN WEA, official ballots will be sent via mail to all members in good standing. After you receive your ballot, please mail by July 6, 2009 or bring it with you to the Water Professionals Conference and turn it in at the designated box by Sunday, July 12, 2009. We are pleased to announce the following candidates for consideration: Kentucky Vice President Candidates for 2009-2010: | Douglas E. Kimbler Doug’s career spans over 20 years in the water and wastewater industries. He began with a B.S. in Chemistry from Western Kentucky University in 1985. He went on to earn an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Western Kentucky University in 1989. Doug’s current position at BGMU is Superintendent of Treatment Plants. In this position, he is responsible for managing the Water and Wastewater Treatment plants as well as distribution and collection systems maintenance for the City of Bowling Green, KY. These systems include a 30 MGD water treatment plant and distribution system, a 10.6 MGD wastewater treatment plant and collection system and 29 water and wastewater system personnel. He oversees all aspects of water and wastewater system operations, assisting the Systems Manager with planning and budgeting for the division. Doug is married to Cindy; they have two sons. Doug is an active member of AWWA and WEA. |  | Wesley Sydnor, PE - Senior Technical Services Engineer for Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District – works in Project WIN as the administrator of the Nine Minimum Controls program, capital projects in the Combined Sewer System, Consent Decree projects, and with combined sewer rehabilitation projects.

Kentucky Delegate for 2009-2010: | Tim Kraus, PE Tim Kraus has more than 25 years of professional engineering experience. As a Vice President with O'Brien & Gere, he oversees operations for the municipal market in the midwest region. Tim is a licensed professional engineer and has a Bachelors and Master of Engineering degree from the University of Louisville. Mr. Kraus has presented and published papers on wet weather topics, and has been a guest lecturer for classes and special programs at the University of Wisconsin. He was appointed by the Governor of Kentucky to serve on the Kentucky Plumbing Code Committee. Tim was formerly Mayor of a sixth class City in Jefferson County. Tim has been active in many organizations holding offices in ASCE, KSPE and the Water Environment Federation. He currently is the sub-committee chair of the WEF Collections System specialty conference. He is married and has three children | |
