Senior Maintenance Water & Wastewater - Brentwood, TN
This position’s primary functions include, general maintenance of water & sewer pumping stations.
Duties and responsibilities include inspect, monitor and troubleshoot water and wastewater station components, motors, pumps, valves, control equipment; make repairs as needed to motors, pumps and station components; maintain station grounds and station appearance; Other duties include, provide leadership and training for non-senior maintenance staff; ordering materials, provide supervision of emergency events; water and sewer line repairs; cleaning work space and equipment; operating specialized machinery/equipment; providing heavy manual labor; and performing a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of the department.
High school diploma (or GED) required, with three to five years of experience construction, plumbing or pipeline construction/maintenance, preferably motor or pump mechanic experience (or related); or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must have or ability to obtain within two years, two of the following: State of Tennessee Sewer Collections License-Class II, Water Distribution License-Class II, Cross-connection control license. Also, must maintain a valid Tennessee State Driver's License (obtain State Driver's License within one year of employment) and valid Commercial Driver's License.
