Stormwater Crew Leader


Position Title:  Stormwater Crew Leader - White House, TN

Position Description: 
Under the direct supervision of the Stormwater Manager, the employee works with the Stormwater Department to clean and maintain inlets and culverts to prevent damage and flooding to roadways, properties, and homes. The employee will also install new drainage systems including but not limited to, piping, headwalls, drainage swales and berms. The Stormwater Crew Leader will operate various equipment such as a Jet-Vactor trailer, fire truck, dump truck, track loader and mini excavator to perform stormwater control improvement projects. Duties also include support services for other departments and employees. 

Education/Experience/Skills Required: 
Two years relevant experience required in a lead supervisory capacity preferred; two years of experience in the operation and maintenance of trucks, construction and other maintenance related equipment; Experience in operation of backhoe, front-end loader, heavy trucks, etc.; Effective communication skills; Ability to write daily reports, other reports, material lists, etc.; Any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skill, and availability. Valid Tennessee CDL A or B driver’s license with a clean and safe driving record or ability to obtain within 1 year of appointment. TDEC Level 1 Certification must be achieved within 6 months of assuming job.

Salary: 
Starting Compensation Range: $14.50 - $17.66 hourly DOE
