Environmental Engineer


Position Title: Environmental Engineer - Memphis, TN

Position Description: 
Job Summary
Buchart Horn, Inc. is seeking an Engineer to join the staff in our Memphis, TN office. The primary focus of the work would be to plan, design and develop systems, facilities, or processes in discipline specific engineering projects.

Duties/Responsibilities: 
•Perform drainage plan reviews. This work will be performed in an outside office.
•Maintain and develop technical knowledge in the use, and application of current technologies, design techniques, procedures, regulations, materials, and specifications.
•Support the project manager with proposal development, work plan development, coordination of multi-discipline projects, monitoring or schedules and budgets, attendance of project client and team meetings to assist with coordination and development of project requirements.
•Conduct field surveys and substantial completion audits.
•Process shop drawings, edit specifications, and create charts and schedules.
•Perform QA/QC procedures and administer quality control procedures throughout project development.
•Assist with technical solutions to construction problems.
•Perform similar and related work assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills Required: 
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
•Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline.
•Minimum of 4 years of Engineering design experience with at least 2 years performing drainage designs.
•Experience in GIS and Modeling is preferred.
•Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred but not required.
•Knowledge and experience using computer aided design and drafting, (AutoCADD, Microstation, Civil 3D) software and Microsoft Office.
